Yes, Ethiopian receives baggage from connecting passengers on other flights. If the connecting passenger’s luggage is not delivered by the delivering carrier, the connecting passenger shall be informed via a slip made for this purpose that their luggage has not been delivered to Ethiopian and that they should not anticipate to arrive at their final destination.
Regardless of their original reservation status, all paying passengers who have checked-in and accepted for travel on a delayed flight are eligible for the compensation program, which includes the following:

When weather, strike, sudden airport closure, or political situation cause a delay, cancellation, or disruption, Ethiopian Airlines has no control over it.

Normal pregnant cases are accepted on domestic and international flights up to 28 weeks without the necessity for medical permission from the attending doctor. However, expectant mothers must fill out a pregnancy certificate and provide it at the time of check-in or boarding.

- If the expected confinement time is less than four (4) weeks, or if there is uncertainty about the pregnancy’s progress or confinement time, or if there have been previous multiple births, or if complications in delivery are expected, such clearance should be issued within seven (7) days of the start of travel.
NOTE: Before 28 weeks, medical clearance (a form to be filled out by the attending doctor) and approval are not required. After 28 weeks, a medical clearance from the attending physician is required. Travel is authorized until 36 to 34 weeks, depending on the length of the journey.
Only complex and rare pregnancies require medical permission from ET medical services.
Unaccompanied Minors are children between the ages of 5 and 11 who travel alone on Ethiopian or another airline. Escort service is required for unaccompanied youngsters aged 5 to 11 going on a code share aircraft, but it is optional for Ethiopian flights and is only provided when the guardian requests particular care.
If particular attention is required by the youth’s parents or guardians, Ethiopians regard youth between the ages of 12 and 17 to be unattended minors. There is no need for escort and service charge payment for a youngster aged 12 to 17 unless extra attention is required if the aircraft is operated by Ethiopian Airlines, that is if the flight is not a code sharing flight.
If, on the other hand, the aircraft is not operated by Ethiopian Airlines, but rather is a code sharing flight operated by another airline, the minor aged 12 to 17 must pay the adult fare plus a USD 100 service fee. Even on code-share flights, however, escort service is not required unless extra care is requested for this age group.
All Ethiopian aircraft will not allow unaccompanied youngsters under the age of five (5) years unless they are accompanied by a family member.
Unaccompanied youngsters between the ages of 5 and the end of 11 years can select for a company escort (cabin staff) on Ethiopian Airlines’ internal and international routes (Non codeshare flights).
Ethiopian can provide an escort on both domestic and international journeys for an additional fee.
Prior to the issuing of the ticket, the customer must complete an Unaccompanied Minor Form with the full names, addresses, and phone numbers of all responsible persons who will be responsible at the origin, intermediate (if a transfer is involved), and destination stations.
If a parent or guardian cannot be found to receive the kid at the transfer site and no escort service is requested, Ethiopian will assist in finding a suitable custodian without accepting any responsibility. This type of custodianship agreement is only for children who are 12 or older.
